DREAM CHIEF — "NOVOCAINE"
Electro-pop duo and Absorb. artists DREAM CHIEF returned with their incredible new single "Novocaine" in fall 2017. After a year enjoying the success of their single "Can't Shake U" and performing shows with artists ranging from Portugal. The Man to Phantogram, the duo delivered a powerful, dark new statement about obsessive love with "Novocaine."
Minimalist visuals were developed around construction of a custom, neon "emergency room" icon piece, designed at Absorb. and handmade for this project. The fixture was filmed and photographed in various environments to get a hazy, mysterious look. We're incredibly proud of this icon, which furthers our practice of building phyical structures to digitally manipulate in design and film.
The single was released in November 2017 and drew praise from industry and fans for it's evolution of the DREAM CHIEF aesthetic and sound. The track was organically selected for several sought-after playlists and has generated more than 500,000 streams on Spotify.
